  • When it comes to sleep training, I believe that there is no “one size fits all” approach. What works for one family may not be the right approach for another. My goal is to support families with an approach that feels comfortable for them. I utilize a comprehensive sleep questionnaire to assess factors like: environment, temperament, parenting styles and tailor a plan using this information.

  • Here’s the thing. Sleep training is simply a response to sleep troubles. It’s a plan. Generally speaking, if I am working with a client to achieve independent sleep for their little one, I will say that typically two weeks of consistency. This does not mean it will take two weeks for every child. Many families see improvement within a few days! I will also share realistic expectations based on your child’s age and development.

  • Crying is an important communication skill for your child to have. Young children have limited communication skills and they my cry as a response to changing habits. There is no way to prevent your child from crying, however you can control how you respond. I show you how to do that within your sleep plan so that you can support your child through any changes by responding in a warm, loving way and work towards improving your child’s sleep!
